{"id":226677,"date":"2024-10-19T14:44:06","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T14:44:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-62841-3-92015\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T08:41:47","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T08:41:47","slug":"bs-en-62841-3-92015","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-62841-3-92015\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 62841-3-9:2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This clause of Part&nbsp;1 is applicable, except as follows:<\/p>\n<p><i>Addition:<\/i><\/p>\n<p>This part of <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;62841<\/span> <\/span> applies to transportable <b>mitre saws<\/b> intended to be used with a toothed saw blade for cutting wood and analogous materials, plastics and nonferrous metals except magnesium with a saw blade diameter not exceeding 360&nbsp;mm, which hereinafter might simply be referred to as saw or tool.<\/p>\n<p>This standard applies to <b>mitre saws<\/b> having a mass of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>maximum 25&nbsp;kg for tools capable of being lifted by hand by one person;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>maximum 50&nbsp;kg for tools capable of being lifted by hand by two persons.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This standard does not apply to stationary <b>mitre saws<\/b>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE\n <\/div>\n<p><span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;1870\u20113<\/span> <\/span> gives requirements for stationary <b>mitre saws<\/b> and <b>mitre saws<\/b> with a mass greater than indicated above.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This standard does not apply to <b>mitre saws<\/b> intended to cut other metals, such as magnesium, steel and iron. This standard does not apply to <b>mitre saws<\/b> with an automatic feeding device.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;101\n <\/div>\n<p>Transportable saws intended to cut ferrous metals will be covered by a future part of <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;62841\u20113<\/span> <\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This standard does not apply to saws designed for use with abrasive wheels.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;102\n <\/div>\n<p>Transportable tools designed for use with abrasive wheels are covered by <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;62841\u20113\u201110<\/span> <\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This standard does not apply to tools combining the function of a <b>mitre saw<\/b> with the function of a table saw.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;103\n <\/div>\n<p>Transportable tools combining the function of a <b>mitre saw<\/b> with the function of a table saw are covered by <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;62841\u20113\u201111<\/span> <\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Electric motor-operated hand-held tools, transportable tools and lawn and garden machinery.
