Currently, there are no building code criteria, ASTM standards, ICC evaluation criteria, or other recognized industrial standard for adhesives used to anchor solar panels. Adhered photovoltaic panels may be accepted if test and analysis data, and quality control and assurance program are submitted that demonstrate an equivalent level of safety as positive mechanical anchorage systems.
