This British Standard specifies the materials and dimensions for bifurcated rivets with shank diameters of 2 mm to 5 mm inclusive and with oval and 155° countersunk heads.
A choice of slot depths is given; a general purpose slot depth for use when joining soft materials such as leather, cloth, paper and soft wood, and a shorter slot depth for use with harder materials such as hardwood and thin metal.
