The purpose of the test is to determine the resistance of metal coatings to cracking during distortion.<\/p>\n<p id=\"s00003\">1.2 Test Methods E 8 can be used if the coatings are too ductile and require mandrels too small to be practical.<\/p>\n<p id=\"s00004\">1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard.
