This standard describes materials and application requirements for factory-applied, fusion-bonded polyethylene (FBPE) coating used on the exterior of steel water pipes and fittings. This standard provides the minimum requirements for FBPE coating, including material, application, inspection, testing, marking, handling, and packaging.
