This Part of BS 4319 outlines conditions to be followed when measuring input and output admittances of electronic tubes and valves (excluding microwave devices). It does not include measuring methods.

These conditions include:

  1. Definitions of the admittances to be measured.
  2. Measuring conditions.
  3. Details of a standard adaptor and shielding.

At present these apply to tubes and valves having the following bases:

a BS 448, “Dimensions of electronic tubes and valves”.
