1. This standard covers the dimensional requirements for a series of sizes of electrodes. Section One specifies the standard sizes. Section Two deals with shanks and Section Three covers the remaining dimensional requirements for electrodes of the following types, primarily intended for the welding of ferrous metals:–
Vertical centre
Vertical off-set
Angle off-set
Crank off-set (¾ in. only).
Sizes, dimensions of shanks and sockets, gauges for testing. Electrode tip sizes standardized with reference to welding arc surface and electrode holder.
