1. Scope
This clause of Part 3 is applicable except as follows:

Replacement:
The term ""tools"" is replaced with ""reciprocating saws"" (jig and sabre saws).
For the purpose of this standard, a jig saw is the type generally used for cutting patterns in lumber and is generally held by one hand; a sabre saw is generally used in demolition work cutting openings in walls, or ceilings, or in construction for cutting off of pipes and the like, and is always held with both hands.
