Description

The scope of the document includes generic qualification for all types of adhesives from structural based systems to nonstructuralapplications and shall consider all aspects of the adhesive lifetime in spacecraft applications such as AIT, on-ground thermal cycling, long term storage (exposure to environmental humidity, creep loads or pre-loads, etc.), pre-launch, launch and operational environments. The scope is limited to generic requirements for qualification and does not cover specific functional requirements (although functional performance needs to be verified as part of the environmental qualification). NOTE: Existing standards (ECSS or otherwise) for very specific qualification aspects will be drawn on where necessary.
