Die Richtlinie beschreibt das spitzenlose Rundschleifen von Werkstücken, bei dem die Werkstücke nicht durch Zentrierspitzen fixiert sind, sondern die Werkstücke frei auf einer Auflage zwischen den im Durchmesser unterschiedlich großen Schleif- und Regelscheiben geführt und geschliffen werden. Die Geometrie des Prozesses und die im Schleifprozess notwendigen Komponenten werden ausführlich diskutiert. Auf mögliche Verfahrensfehler und ihre Vermeidung wird eingegangen.
