Aircraft Performance from Flight Test – Part 2: Thrust-Drag Accounting

ESDU 16003 describes a thrust-drag accounting scheme that can be used as part of a method for deriving force and moment coefficients from flight test data.
The scheme considers the installation of turbojet/fan engines mounted in the aircraft fuselage or in wing and fuselage pods. Thrust and drag relationships are derived for single-stream and two-stream nacelles.
The Data Item forms part of a series of documents devoted to the prediction of aircraft performance from flight test analysis, and should be read in conjunction with ESDU 15001, Aircraft performance from flight test. Part 1: derivation of a mathematical model.
