INTRODUCTION
A significant amount of literature now exists on measured values
of surface pressure fluctuations in the turbulent boundary layers
of flight vehicles at both subsonic and supersonic speeds.
A review was carried out some years ago of both wind tunnel and
flight results and a prediction method was derived (Reference 1).
However in this current work it is intended to include more recent
flight data, to investigate the dependence of the results on Mach
number and finally to see if any improvement can be made on the
prediction method proposed in Reference 1.
The analysis has been limited to cases of relatively smooth
attached flow and conditions where large pressure gradients are
unlikely to exist.
