New IEEE Standard – Inactive-Withdrawn. Withdrawn Standard. Withdrawn Date: Dec 13, 1994. No longer endorsed by the IEEE. This standard provides network planners with the methodology and models for specifying the transmission performance of voicegrade communications channels, calculating the transmission performance of voicegrade connections made up of one channel, or of two or more voicegrade channels connected in tandem, calculating the resulting speech transmission performance, and determining the grade of service of a complete voice connection, including the terminals (telephone sets), and evaluating the relative transmission performance of alternative speech connections.
