La présente partie de l'ISO 6741 spécifie des méthodes d'obtention des échantillons pour laboratoire, en vue de la détermination de la masse commerciale par l'une des méthodes décrites dans l'ISO 6741-1. La méthode appropriée à chaque type de fibre est indiquée dans l'ISO/TR 6741-4. Les modes opératoires concernent Lorsqu'un échantillon supplémentaire est nécessaire pour d'autres essais ou s'il est préparé par précaution dans les cas où un incident se produirait, la masse pour la Constitution de chaque prélèvement doit être doublée et le prélèvement doit immédiatement être divisé en deux échantillons.
