This Standard specifies the characteristics of double-pitch precision roller chains for transmission and conveyors, and of A system attachments.

The sprockets and B system attachments of double-pitch precision roller chains are described in Annex JA and Annex JB for reference.

The nominal numbers of the A system double-pitch precision roller chains differ from those specified in the corresponding International Standard.

The comparison table on the nominal numbers of A system double-pitch precision roller chains between JIS and corresponding International Standard is described in Annex JC.

NOTE The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 1275: 2006 Double-pitch precision roller chains, attachments and associated chain sprockets for transmission and conveyors (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
