This Standard specifies the dimensions, transmission requirements, mechanical requirements, environmental requirements and the test methods of silica glass multimode optical fibers using silica glass as a core and a cladding.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

IEC 60793-2-10 : 2007 Optical fibres—Part 2-10: Product specifications—Sectional specification for category A1 multimode fibres (MOD)

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents in the corresponding International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified) and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21.
