This Standard specifies the marking, characteristics and test methods of stationary nickel-cadmium rechargeable single cells for use in electric telecommunication, electric machinery and apparatus, emergency power supply, etc. (hereafter referred to as "rechargeable cells").
Vented nickel-cadmium prismatic rechargeable single cells specified in the corresponding International Standard shall be defined in the text of this Standard.
Catalytic-plug sealed nickel-cadmium rechargeable cells not specified in the corresponding International Standard shall be defined in Annex JA of this Standard.
