This Standard specifies an atomic absorption spectrometric method for the determination of the copper content in iron and steel.

The method is applicable to copper contents (mass fraction) of 0.003% or over up to and including 1.0 %.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
