Fuel Gases and Natural Gas – Methods for Chemical Analysis and Testing

This Standard specifies the chemical analysis methods of general components and special components, and the testing methods of the calorific value and the specific gravity of the fuel gas and the natural gas; however, it is not applicable to the liquefied petroleum gas1) and the liquefied natural gas2).
The contents of this specification shall be applicable from July 31st, 2008.

Notes 1) The liquefied petroleum gas means the liquefied fuel gas or industrial source gas of which the main component is propane, propylene, butane or butylene (see JIS K 2240).
2) The liquefied natural gas means the natural gas of the liquefied state.
