This Standard specifies the preparation method and the determination method of the properties for the test specimens of the crosslinked epoxy resins.

However, the determination method of the properties of the non-crosslinked epoxy resins is not included in this Standard.

NOTE 1 For the determination method of the properties of non-crosslinked epoxy resins.

See JIS K 7147.

NOTE 2 In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, it is necessary to use the test methods, preparation method of test specimens, conditioning method and test specimen dimensions specified in this Standard.

Values determined will not necessarily be identical to those obtained according to this Standard when using test specimens of different dimensions or prepared using different procedures.

NOTE 3 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard is as follows.

ISO 3673-2 : 2007 Plastics – Epoxy resins – Part 2 : Preparation of test specimens and determination of properties (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21.
