Performance improvement of management systems — Guidelines for Policy Management

This Standard specifies the following three guidelines with regard to policy management as one of the major activities of quality management.
— Guidelines for managers of each function, i.e., core persons who implement policy management, on how to implement policy management for each function
— Guidelines for top management and the persons who are responsible for policy management of the whole organization, on how to implement policy management of the whole organization
— Guidelines for top management and the persons who are responsible for policy management of the whole organization, on education and training, tools and evaluation for promotion policy management organization-wide
This Standard is applicable to any types of organizations.
Also, it is applicable to not only manufacturing and service provision but also business implemented by project or cooperation of plural organizations, or non-profit business.
