This Standard specifies the powdery volatile corrosion inhibitor that is used for preventing the corrosion on iron and steel (hereafter referred to as "powder type volatile corrosion inhibitor") and the volatile corrosion inhibitor in discrete shape (hereafter referred to as "discrete type volatile corrosion inhibitor).

The volatile corrosion inhibitor treated paper specified in JIS Z 1535 and the volatile corrosion inhibitor treated film specified in JIS Z 0303 are excluded.
