Among the changes to the 2012 NFPA 80A that improve the document are:     Changed the term “radiation” to “radiant heat”     Added “fire window assembly” to the list of acceptable opening protection methods     Changed the term “flame spread rating” to “flame spread index”     Added one UL standard and one ASTM standard to replace NFPA 255, which was withdrawn in 2009     Updated the edition of one UL Standard NFPA 80A is essential for AHJs, architects, mechanical and fire protection engineers.
