This Third edition ULC Standard has been confirmed effective February 2016. There have been no technical changes made to the standard.

This Standard applies to hand-fuelled solid-fuel fired space heaters of the radiant, convection or forced-circulating type, intended for residential heating. The requirements of this Standard apply to space heaters having provision for venting directly outdoors; outdoor-aired space heaters intended for installation primarily in mobile homes; and space heater utilizing catalytic combustion elements (combustors).
