This document also provides special considerations for machinery control-rooms, wheelhouse, and dry provision store rooms in Annexes C, D and E.

]]> ISO 20283-5:2016 donne des lignes directrices pour le mesurage, l'évaluation et l'établissement de rapports des vibrations affectant l'habitabilité, destinées à toutes les personnes à bord des navires de commerce et des paquebots, en particulier à l'équipage. Des valeurs efficaces globales de vibration pondérées sur la plage de fréquences de 1 Hz à 80 Hz sont données à titre indicatif pour les différentes zones des navires.

ISO 20283-5:2016 est applicable aux navires de commerce et aux paquebots destinés à effectuer des voyages de 24 h ou plus.

ISO 20283-5:2016 spécifie des exigences relatives à l'appareillage et au mode opératoire de mesure dans des espaces normalement occupés. Il contient également des spécifications d'analyse ainsi que des lignes directrices pour l'évaluation des vibrations des navires affectant l'habitabilité.

L'évaluation des mouvements basse fréquence du navire, susceptibles de provoquer le mal de mer, est traitée dans l'ISO 2631-1. Pour l'évaluation des vibrations structurelles d'ensemble d'un navire, en revanche, voir l'ISO 20283-2.
