This Standard specifies the quality of stock solution based on the specification of the quality of spray-applied rigid polyurethane foam obtained when it is spray-applied under definite conditions where the actual application is assumed.

This Standard is not applicable to the heat insulation materials used under atmospheric conditions of particular temperature and humidity such as a cold-storage warehouse, and the heat insulation materials used for facility equipment, piping, etc. for dwellings or buildings.

This Standard is applicable to the cellular plastic thermal insulation materials in which fluorocarbons 1) are not used as a foaming agent.

Note 1) Generic term for hydrofluorocarbon (HFC), chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) and hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC).

In this Standard, the cellular plastics thermal insulation materials in which fluorocarbons1) are not used as a foaming agent are included in the scope.

This Standard is not applicable to the thermal insulation materials used under the condition at particular temperature and humidity such as a cold-storage warehouse, and the heat insulation materials used for facility equipment, piping, etc. for dwellings or buildings.

This Standard is mainly applicable to thermal insulation materials intended for general industrial applications, and also applicable to those used under special temperature and humidity conditions such as in a cold-storage warehouse, and those used for facility equipment, piping, etc. of dwellings or buildings.

It is not applicable to insulation materials for dwellings and buildings that are mainly intended for use at the ordinary temperature.
