TAPPI TIP 0404-17 provides instructions for calculating the theoretical air volume requirements to achieve recommended average pocket humidity in two-tier dryer sections with conventional top and bottom dryer fabrics. Single-tier dryers do not have conventional dryer pockets, so ventilation requirements are different for these sections. This TIP does not provide information for designing pocket ventilation and runnability components. Rather, it specifies the minimum amount of air that must be delivered to dryer pockets to keep pocket humidities at acceptable levels. Some ventilation devices do a better job delivering ventilation air than other devices. This TIP simply specifies the minimum amount of air that should be delivered.

Provides guidance for the construction, checking and testing of electrical installations in mobile medical facilities. It supplements or modifies the requirements for electrical installations contained in AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3001, AS/NZS 3003, NZS 3003.1 and NZS 3019. It is intended to cover installations in caravans, motor homes, trailers and similar vehicles which have been purpose built or converted to provide medical services outside of fixed medical facilities. Only medical services requiring body protected areas are covered.

Covers installations and equipment sourced from outside New Zealand, and which operate at voltages and/or frequencies other than those used in New Zealand, ensuring they can be safely supplied from the New Zealand electricity supply. Supply of electricity to aircraft is outside the scope of this Standard, nor is it intended to cover hazardous area, electromedical or ELV installations or equipment. Note: Amendment 2 was published on 7 February 2019 and addresses Section 6 – Aviation electrical installations, facilities and equipment. This section applies to aviation electrical installations, facilities and equipment that supply or use electricity at voltages or frequencies other than SLV to aircraft, airport aprons, aviation equipment, aviation support, and aviation repair workshops. The section addresses the specific differences between the TN-C-S (MEN) configuration and the TN-C (Earth return) aircraft configuration and builds a safety compliance bridge between two disparate electricity regimes.

Sets out the essential safety requirements for all gas appliances in New Zealand that are not subject to a recognised certification regime. The standard is not a design code and therefore it does not address matters of performance, appearance, or durability except where they are relevant to safety. The requirements are intended to protect persons, domestic animals and property from fire, explosion, release of noxious gases, and physical injury hazards that may arise from gas appliances. This standard was first issued in 2011 as an interim standard. After minor changes in 2012 it was reissued for a further period of comment. The changes added to the list of characteristics to be assessed in A2.2 and in C2.2.2 affirmed the validity of tests using Australian test gases for natural gas. In 2014 the development committee decided that the interim standard should be confirmed as a full standard with a minor change to A2.1 to clarify requirements relating to gas appliance testing using LPG line gas. A small change has also been made to item 27 in the checklist in D1 by removing reference to NZ limit gases and simply requiring that combustion tests are satisfactory.
