AIEE
The American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) was founded in 1884 and was dedicated to the advancement of electrical engineering and its related fields. AIEE’s primary goals included promoting scientific and technological progress in electrical engineering and providing a platform for professional development and networking. In 1957, AIEE merged with the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE) to form the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which is now one of the world’s largest technical professional organizations. IEEE encompasses a wide range of fields, including electrical engineering, computer science, and information technology. The organization hosts conferences, publishes journals, develops industry standards, and offers networking and career development opportunities for engineers and professionals in the field.
