ASTM D2770<\/h4>\n

Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1 This specification covers a weather- and ozoneresisting vulcanized rubber integral insulation and jacket compound for electrical wires and cables. The rubber polymer shall consist substantially of ethylenepropylene copolymer (EPM) or of ethylenepropylene terpolymer (EPDM).<\/p>\n

1.2 This type insulation is considered suitable for use on wire or cable which will be used for continuous operation at conductor temperatures up to 90\u00b0C in dry locations and 75\u00b0C in wet locations, and at operating voltages not exceeding 2000 V.<\/p>\n

1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units, except for temperature, are regarded as the standard. The values in parentheses are for information only.<\/p>\n
