{"id":222094,"date":"2024-10-19T14:24:59","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T14:24:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-128712010\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T07:59:55","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T07:59:55","slug":"bs-en-128712010","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-128712010\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 12871:2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This European Standard specifies the performance requirements and the procedure for demonstrating compliance, through type testing, of load-bearing wood-based panels fitted on:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n<li>\n<p>structural joists for decking<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>in flooring applications in categories of use A, B, C and D;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in roof applications in categories of use H and I;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>for which type testing involves:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>punching shear under concentrated loading;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>vertically dropped soft body impact;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>studs for walling application for which type testing involves:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>racking behaviour;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>pendular soft body impact.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This European Standard also provides a calculation method related to soft overlays that may be installed on roofs or floors with uniform loading.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE Soft body impact, addressing safety matters both during construction and in service, is defined in EN 1990 and EN 1991-1 (all parts).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Annex A (normative) lists the contact areas of the loading heads that may be used for concentrated loading.<\/p>\n<p>Annex B (informative) provides examples for a decking application in a floor and a roof.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Wood-based panels.
