12 Lead or lead alloy sheath
12.1 A lead or lead alloy sheath shall be extruded over the impregnated cable.
12.2 The composition of the lead or lead alloy sheath, (see A.3), shall be in accordance with BS 801.
12.3 The lead or lead alloy sheath shall be impervious to moisture, reasonably close-fitting and free from defects.
12.4 The minimum thickness of the lead or lead alloy sheath measured in accordance with E.2 shall not fall below the appropriate value given in Table 11 to Table 38 by an amount more than (5 % plus 0.1 mm), (0.05 mm rounded upwards).
