{"id":267627,"date":"2024-10-19T17:52:47","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T17:52:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-iso-3691-52015a12020\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T13:56:11","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T13:56:11","slug":"bs-en-iso-3691-52015a12020","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-iso-3691-52015a12020\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN ISO 3691-5:2015+A1:2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;3691 gives safety requirements and the means for their verification for the following types of pedestrian-propelled trucks (hereafter referred to as <i>trucks<\/i>), equipped with load-handling devices for normal industrial duties, e.g. fork arms and platforms, or integrated attachments for special applications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>pedestrian-propelled straddle stackers,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>pallet stackers,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>industrial trucks with capacities not exceeding 1&nbsp;000&nbsp;kg with manual or electrical battery-powered lifting,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>low-lift pallet trucks with lift height up to 300&nbsp;mm and rated capacity up to 2&nbsp;300&nbsp;kg,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>scissor-lift pallet trucks with lift heights up to 1&nbsp;000&nbsp;mm or rated capacity up to 1&nbsp;000&nbsp;kg with manual or electrical battery-powered lifting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is applicable to trucks provided with either manual or electrical battery-powered lifting, operating on smooth, level, hard surfaces.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><b>NOTE<\/b> On-board battery chargers are considered to be part of the truck. Attachments mounted on the load-carrier or on the fork arms which are removable by the user are not considered to be part of the truck.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;3691 deals with significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to the applicable machines when used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Annex&nbsp;C).<\/p>\n<p>It does not establish the additional requirements for<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n<li>\n<p>climatic conditions,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>operation in severe conditions (e.g. extreme environmental conditions such as freezer applications, high temperatures, corrosive environments, strong magnetic fields),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>electromagnetic compatibility (emission\/immunity),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>handling of loads the nature of which could lead to dangerous situations (e.g. molten metal, acids\/alkalis, radiating materials, especially brittle loads),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>handling suspended loads which may swing freely handling,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>use on public roads,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>direct contact with foodstuffs,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>operation on gradients or on surfaces other than smooth, level, hard surfaces,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>lifting systems using belts,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>lifting of persons,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>trucks with overturning moment greater than 40 000&nbsp;N\u00b7m,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>scissor-lift trucks whose lifting is powered by external means (electric, pneumatic),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>roll containers,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>trucks that are intended to be towed by powered vehicles,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>trucks designed for special applications (e.g. hospitals, restaurant trolleys),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>winch-operated trucks,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>mobile lifting tables.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Hazards relevant to noise, vibration and visibility are not significant and are not dealt with in this part of ISO&nbsp;3691.<\/p>\n<p>Regional requirements, additional to those given in this part of ISO&nbsp;3691, are addressed in ISO\/TS&nbsp;3691\u20117.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Industrial trucks.
