The requirements are applicable for on- and off-shore applications of such elevators in the petroleum and petrochemical industries.<\/p>\n<p>This document deals with significant hazards, hazardous situations and events, as listed in <span class=\"xref\">Annex&nbsp;A<\/span>, relevant to elevators when used as intended and under the conditions of misuse foreseeable by the manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>This document does not cover any other type of elevator.
