The design of the sleeves is such that they do not expand in diameter.<\/p>\n<p><i>Type 7.<\/i> These are sleeves which, when fitted, are for use in the following temperature ranges:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u2013 65 \u00b0C to 250 \u00b0C for at least 20 000 h<sup>2)<\/sup>;<\/li>\n<li>up to 300 \u00b0C for at least 168 h<sup>3)<\/sup>;<\/li>\n<li>up to 350 \u00b0C for at least 4 h<sup>4)<\/sup>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>These sleeves are resistant to fuels, lubricants and hydraulic fluids, including ester-based lubricants and ester-based hydraulic fluids.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE The latest revision of an Aerospace Series standard is indicated by a prefix number.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Recommendations for the storage of finished sleeves are given in Annex A.<\/p>\n<p><sup>2)<\/sup> The procedures described in BS 5691-2:1995 for evaluation of thermal endurance are not readily applicable to PTFE.
