This part of ISO 20766-21<\/span> <\/span> specifies general requirements and definitions of liquefied petroleum gas fuel component (pressure and\/or temperature sensors), intended for use on the types of motor vehicles as defined in ISO 3833<\/span> <\/span>. It also provides general design principles, and specifies requirements for instructions and marking.<\/p>\n

This part of ISO 20766-21<\/span> <\/span> is applicable to vehicles (mono-fuel, bi-fuel or dual-fuel applications) using gaseous fuels in accordance with ISO 9162<\/span> <\/span>. It is not applicable to the following:<\/p>\n

    fuel containers;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    stationary gas engines;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    container mounting hardware;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    electronic fuel management;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    refueling receptacles.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    It is recognized that miscellaneous components not specifically addressed herein can be examined for compliance with the criteria of any applicable part of ISO 20766<\/span> <\/span>, including testing to the appropriate functional tests.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    All references to pressure in this document are considered gauge pressures unless otherwise specified.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    This document applies to device which have a service pressure in the range of 110 kPa (Butane rich at 20 \u00b0C) and 840 kPa (Propane rich at 20 \u00b0C), hereinafter referred to in this document.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
