Amendment Standard – Superseded. This amendment specifies the extensions to IEEE Std 802.11\u00ae for Wireless Local Area Networks providing mechanisms for operation in the 4.9 GHz and 5 GHz bands in Japan. This amendment is based on IEEE Std 802.11\u2122, 1999 Edition (Reaff 2003), as amended by IEEE Stds 802.11a\u2122-1999, 802.11b\u2122-1999, 802.11b-1999\/Cor 1-2001, 802.11d\u2122-2001, 802.11g\u2122-2003, 802.11h\u2122-2003, and 802.11i\u2122-2004.<\/p>\n
