{"id":419025,"date":"2024-10-20T06:23:49","date_gmt":"2024-10-20T06:23:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-26157-31992-2\/"},"modified":"2024-10-26T11:55:52","modified_gmt":"2024-10-26T11:55:52","slug":"bs-en-26157-31992-2","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-26157-31992-2\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 26157-3:1992"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>1.1<\/b> This part of ISO 6157 establishes limits for various types of surface discontinuities on bolts, screws and studs for special requirements.<\/p>\n<p>It applies to bolts, screws and studs with<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>nominal thread diameters 5 mm and larger;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>product grades A and B;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>nominal lenghts <i>l<\/i> \u2264 10<i>d<\/i> (or longer if specified);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>property class 12.9;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>property classes 8.8, 9.8 and 10.9 when specified in product standards or agreed between supplier and purchaser.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>1.2<\/b> Where the permissible limits for surface discontinuities indicated in clause <b>3<\/b> occur, the minimum values for the mechanical and functional properties specified in ISO 898-1 should still be met.<\/p>\n<p>When fatigue strength requirements are specified, the fatigue strength should not be lower than that obtained on bolts without defects taken from the same lot.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 1 The figures in clause <b>3<\/b> are examples only.
