{"id":516661,"date":"2024-11-05T14:41:48","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T14:41:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/can-csa-z243-145-87\/"},"modified":"2024-11-05T14:41:48","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T14:41:48","slug":"can-csa-z243-145-87","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/csa\/can-csa-z243-145-87\/","title":{"rendered":"CAN\/CSA-Z243.145-87"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Scope and Field of Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This International Standard specifies<\/p>\n<p>Five classes of procedures:<\/p>\n<p>(1) class 0: simple class;<br \/>(2) class 1: basic error recovery class;<br \/>(3) class 2: multiplexing class;<br \/>(4) class 3: error recovery and multiplexing class;<br \/>(5) class 4: error detection and recovery class;<\/p>\n<p>(a)for the connection oriented transfer of data and control information from one transport entity to a peer transport entity;<br \/>(b) the means of negotiating the class of procedures to be used by the transport entities;<br \/>(c) the structure and encoding of the transport protocol data units used for the transfer of data and control information.<\/p>\n<p>The procedures are defined in terms of<\/p>\n<p>(a) the interactions between peer transport entities through the exchange of transport protocol data units;<br \/>(b) the interactions between a transport entity and the transport service user in the same system through the exchange of transport service primitives;<br \/>(c) the interactions between a transport entity and the network service provider through the exchange of network service primitives.<\/p>\n<p>These procedures are defined in the main text of this International Standard supplemented by state tables in annex A.<\/p>\n<p>These procedures are applicable to instances of communication between systems which support the Transport Layer of the OSI Reference Model and which wish to interconnect in an open systems environment.<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard also specifies conformance requirements for systems implementing these procedures.
