ASTM C1488<\/h4>\n

Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1 This practice covers a procedure to simulate the aging process of cellulosic loose-fill insulation by subjecting it to controlled laboratory conditions of temperature and humidity so that the insulation will be further evaluated, particularly for critical radiant flux characteristics.<\/p>\n

1.2 It is not the intent of this practice to establish aging conditions that represent all possible exposures.<\/p>\n

1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.<\/p>\n

1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
