IDHA wird gemessen und bestimmt mittels HPLC nach totaler Umwandlung des Chelatbildners in seine Eisen-(III)- Salze mittels Zugabe eines \u00dcberschusses einer Eisen-(III)- Nitratl\u00f6sung. Im HPLC-Diagramm wird IDHA durch zwei dominante Peaks repr\u00e4sentiert. Der erste Peak repr\u00e4sentiert das R, S-Isomer (50%), der zweite Peak steht sowohl f\u00fcr das R, R- als auch das R-Isomer (50 %).
