The S &#8211; N (or e \u2013 N) curve is<br \/>\nobtained by linear regression. The 95% confidence intervals for the<br \/>\npopulation regression line, using either Student&#039;s t distribution<br \/>\nor the F distribution are given. A MATLAB<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> computer<br \/>\nprogram with a Graphical User Interface is available for which the<br \/>\ninput can be introduced either through the keyboard or by means of<br \/>\nan input file. Direct graphical output of the fitted line and the<br \/>\n95% confidence intervals is provided. A further part of the program<br \/>\nchecks if the linear regression model is adequate.
