Le pr\u00e9sent document sp\u00e9cifie une m\u00e9thode de mesurage de l\u2019activit\u00e9 volumique de\u00a014<\/sup>C dans tous types d\u2019\u00e9chantillons d\u2019eau par comptage des scintillations en milieu liquide\u00a0(CSL), soit directement sur la prise d\u2019essai, soit apr\u00e8s s\u00e9paration chimique.<\/p>\n

Cette m\u00e9thode s\u2019applique aux prises d\u2019essai d\u2019eau de distribution\/potable, d\u2019eau de pluie, d\u2019eau de surface et souterraine, d\u2019eau de mer, ainsi que d\u2019eau de refroidissement, d\u2019eau industrielle, d\u2019eaux us\u00e9es domestiques et industrielles.<\/p>\n

La limite de d\u00e9tection d\u00e9pend du volume d\u2019\u00e9chantillon, de l\u2019instrument utilis\u00e9, de la dur\u00e9e de comptage des \u00e9chantillons, du taux de comptage du bruit de fond, du rendement de d\u00e9tection et de la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration chimique. La m\u00e9thode d\u00e9crite dans le pr\u00e9sent document, appliqu\u00e9e avec des compteurs \u00e0 scintillations en milieu liquide actuellement sur le march\u00e9 et dans des conditions techniques appropri\u00e9es, pr\u00e9sente une limite de d\u00e9tection de l\u2019ordre de 1\u00a0Bq\u00b7l-1<\/sup>, ce qui est inf\u00e9rieur aux crit\u00e8res de l\u2019OMS pour une consommation sans risque d\u2019eau potable (100\u00a0Bq\u00b7l-1<\/sup>). L\u2019activit\u00e9 volumique de\u00a014<\/sup>C peut \u00eatre mesur\u00e9e jusqu\u2019\u00e0 106<\/sup>\u00a0Bq\u00b7l-1<\/sup> sans aucune dilution d\u2019\u00e9chantillon.<\/p>\n
