{"id":60849,"date":"2024-10-17T11:30:52","date_gmt":"2024-10-17T11:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/astm-d3699-2003\/"},"modified":"2024-10-24T17:50:48","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T17:50:48","slug":"astm-d3699-2003","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/astm\/astm-d3699-2003\/","title":{"rendered":"ASTM-D3699 2003"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>ASTM D3699-03<\/h3>\n<h4>Historical Standard: Standard Specification for Kerosine<\/h4>\n<div>\n<h4>ASTM D3699<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.1 This specification covers two grades of kerosine suitable for use in critical kerosine burner applications:<\/p>\n<p>1.1.1 <i>No. 1-K<\/i>\u2014A special low-sulfur grade kerosine suitable for use in nonflue-connected kerosine burner appliances and for use in wick-fed illuminating lamps.<\/p>\n<p>1.1.2 <i>No. 2-K<\/i>\u2014A regular grade kerosine suitable for use in flue-connected burner appliances and for use in wick-fed illuminating lamps.<\/p>\n<p>1.2 This specification is intended for use in purchasing, as a reference for industry and governmental standardization, and as a source of technical information.<\/p>\n<p>1.3 This specification, unless otherwise provided by agreement between the purchaser and the supplier, prescribes the required properties of kerosine at the time and place of custody transfer.<\/p>\n<p>1.4 Nothing in this specification shall preclude observance of federal, state, or local regulations which can be more restrictive.<\/p>\n<p>1.5 All values are stated in SI units and are regarded as the standard.<\/p>\n<p>Note 1\u2014The generation and dissipation of static electricity can create problems in the handling of kerosines.
