This Standard establishes the default specification operator for linear size and de-fines a number of special specification operators for linear size for feature of size types "cylinder" and "two parallel opposite planes". It. also defines the specification modifiers and the drawing indications for these linear sizes.<\/p>\n

\n\u2014 minimum circumscribed size<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 indirect global linear size<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 calculated global size (calculated size with volume diameter)<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 calculated size<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 circumference diameter<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 area diameter<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 volume diameter<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 rank-order size<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 maximum size<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 minimum size<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 average size<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 median size<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 mid-range size<\/p>\n

\nThis Standard defines tolerances of linear sizes when there is :<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 a + and\/or \u2014 limit deviation (e.g. 01-0.019) (see Figure 9);<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 an upper limit of size (ULS) and\/or lower limit of size (LLS) (e.g. 11.a.max..12.min) (see Figure II);<\/p>\n
\n\u2014 an ISO tolerance class code in accordance with JIS B 0401-1 (see Figure 10).<\/p>\n
\nwith or without modifier (see Tables 1 and 2).<\/p>\n
\nThis Standard provides a set of tools to express several types of size characteristic.<\/p>\n
\nIt does not present any information on the relationship between a function or a use and a size characteristic.<\/p>\n
