Scope<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>1.1<\/b> This standard contains requirements for classification, evaluation, and performance of mineral and slag or other by-product abrasives used for blast cleaning steel and other surfaces for painting and other purposes. <\/p>\n<p><b>1.2<\/b> The abrasives covered by this standard are primarily intended for one-time use without recycling, however, some media are capable of being recycled.
