This Bulletin identifies the tests that Trunking equipment is
\nexpected to pass in order for a manufacturer to declare P25
\nCompliance in the area of Trunking ISSI for Voice and Mobility
\nServices. These tests were deemed necessary by the industry and
\nuser members participating in the work of the ISSI TG and TR8.25.
\nThe ISSITG includes TIA members and representatives of Federal,
\nState and Local Public Safety agencies and organizations. This
\ngroup, being familiar with the relevant published standards,
\navailable P25 equipment and test equipment and the general
\nintentions of P25 Compliance Assessment, reviewed all trunking ISSI
\ninteroperability tests described in reference [1].<\/p>\n
P25 Compliance Assessment confirms that the equipment of
\ndifferent manufacturers will interoperate with respect to the P25
\ndefined features, services and interfaces.<\/p>\n
In determining the tests appropriate for P25 Compliance
\nAssessment testing in this area, the group considered whether tests
\nin reference [1] were important for achieving interoperability
\nbetween equipment of different manufacturers versus tests important
\nfor product design and certification. In general, tests that were
\ndetermined to be more oriented towards product design and
\ncertification were deemed unnecessary for inclusion in this list.
\nAs explained previously, the "product certification" referred to
\nhere is a manufacturer-specific process, part of the product
\ndevelopment process, and does not imply formal certification by any
\nentity such as TIA, the FCC, etc. The resulting list therefore
\nrepresents tests that are most important for or most likely to
\nimpact interoperability between manufacturers building to the same
