Each element of the matrix enumerates<br \/>\nthe action(s) to be taken when the specified event occurs in a<br \/>\nparticular state. A state transition table has been defined for the<br \/>\nData Link Layer Entity (DLLE), the Sleep Management Entity (SME),<br \/>\nand the TEI Management Entity (TME).<\/p>\n<p>Since MDLP is an asymmetric protocol, the behavior and<br \/>\nprocedures for user side CDPD devices differ from those used by<br \/>\nnetwork side CDPD devices.
