Reduce fire dangers and related hazards associated with high power rocketry by following the latest safety guidelines in the 2013 NFPA 1127. NFPA 1127: Code for High Power Rocketry applies to the design, construction, limitation of propellant mass and power, and reliability of high power rocket motors and motor components, for use by a certified user for education, recreation, and sporting competition. The Code also includes a chapter on prohibited activities. Update to the 2013 edition to stay on top of safety improvements that include: Definitions for key terms have been amended to be consistent with federal regulatory requirements. Definitions for Model Rocket Motor and High Power Rocket Motor were revised to align with NFPA 1125: Code for Manufacture of Model Rocket and High Power Rocket Motors and to clearly delineate between the two types of motors. New provisions regarding reloadable high power rocket motors and what limits exist on customer modification to the manufactured and certified motor. New requirements for launches of 3 or more high power rockets simultaneously address issues for range safety both for the launch site as well as to the spectators. The Model Rocket Safety Code of the National Association of Rocketry is included as Annex B. Whether you’re a motor manufacturer or a consumer, you need this Code to protect lives, avoid injuries, and reduce property damage.<\/p>\n
