{"id":417179,"date":"2024-10-20T06:14:45","date_gmt":"2024-10-20T06:14:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-120592008a12011-2\/"},"modified":"2024-10-26T11:37:02","modified_gmt":"2024-10-26T11:37:02","slug":"bs-en-120592008a12011-2","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-120592008a12011-2\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 12059:2008+A1:2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This European Standard specifies requirements for the following stone units:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n<li>\n<p>Structural solid stone units:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-roman\">\n<li>\n<p>Load bearing stone elements, typically subject to prevailing compression stresses, such as solid columns, arches and similar;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Solid stone elements used for parapets, handrails, balustrades, copings and the like, intended to withstand horizontal live loadings in addition to any dead load.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Finishing solid stone units:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-roman\">\n<li>\n<p>Curved cladding panels, for the external finishing of walls, columns or pilasters;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Stone elements for framing one or more side openings in building walls or floors, such as sills, jambs, architraves and similar.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This European Standard does not include stone masonry units, as defined in EN&nbsp;771-6, stone which is a \u2018cast-on\u2019 finish to pre-cast concrete or agglomerated stones. Moreover it does not cover commemorative or funeral stones and sculptures, when they do not show the above mentioned characteristics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Natural stone products.
