Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt die Eigenschaften einer Reihe von Stahlrollenketten, maßgerecht abgeleitet von Temperguss-Ausführungen und tauglich für Bedingungen während des Einsatzes und Instandhaltung, vorherrschend auf solchen Gebieten wie Landwirtschaft, Bau, Kreide- und verwandte Industrie, Förderanlagen, usw. und zugehörigen Kettenräder. Diese erste Ausgabe ist eine Übersetzung der 3. Ausgabe der ISO 487 vom 15.07.1998 und schließt eine Lücke im deutschen Normenwerk, die durch die notwendigen Zurückziehung der Ketten-Normen für Landmaschinen DIN 8189-1 und -2 sowie DIN 8199 im Jahr 2003 entstanden ist.*Inhaltsverzeichnis
